Boughton Malherbe Parish Council consists of 5 Councillors and meets six times a year in Grafty Green Village Hall with additional meetings of Planning and Finance Committees when required. Members of the Public are welcome to attend all meetings.

At only 2,737 acres Boughton Malherbe is a small parish, situated in the north of the Weald of Kent, map below. The census of 2011 states the population was 476. The area of the parish on the Greensand Ridge enjoys panoramic views over the beautiful Kent countryside to the South Downs and to the sea.

Boughton Malherbe/Grafty Green is a friendly and thriving community. The village of Grafty Green, nestled at the foot of the Greensand Ridge, has a shop/post office, two pubs, a village hall, and a regular bus service to Maidstone. St. Nicolas' Church - in the hamlet of Boughton Malherbe which is perched on the Greensand Ridge - holds services on most Sundays and Cream Teas on summer Sunday afternoons.
