Message from South East Water:

Morning update: Thursday 25 January
Water supplies in Kent and Sussex
Overnight we have seen an improving situation, with tap water supplies restored to all our customers across Kent.

We are still actively monitoring the situation, with our incident team remaining in place until we are satisfied that all issues are resolved.

Our teams are continuing their work to find and repair the leaks and bursts across our extensive network, which resulted from ground movement following the recent freezing conditions and subsequent rapid thaw. As a result, drinking water storage levels are low but stable. We are now working to replenish these levels.

Given the situation is now stable, we will not be issuing any further stakeholder updates at this time. You can keep up to date with what’s happening in your local area by visiting our In Your Area Map and our website.
